Bronwen Manger @ Scissors Paper Pen

November 15, 2011

Bronwen Manger, one of our very own Triptych Poets, will be a guest performer at the next Scissors Paper Pen event on 26 November 2011.

Held seasonally in pubs, cafes, on parliamentary lawns, in libraries, museums and galleries around the city, Scissors Paper Pen is a quarterly evening dedicated to listening and watching music, storytelling, movement, debate, discussion and visual art.

Each Scissors Paper Pen salon features three essential ingredients, no matter the evening's theme or venue: Readings, Music, A Panel.

There will be good wine, incredible coffee, publications for sale, and indulgent levels of cheese to compliment the library of artists.

Doors open at 6pm and close somewhere around 9pm.

Triptych Poets: Issue Two Launch and Poetry Slam Flyer

The official launch of Triptych Poets: Issue Two is just around the corner!

From the dialectic travels of Stuart Cooke to the fresh, cosmopolitan brashness of Brownen Manager to the experimental poetic play of Ouyang Yu, Issue Two traverses a vast space of poetic styles and imagery, each as vivid as the next.

Issue Two's launch will be held in collaboration with the monthly Traverse Poetry Slam at the Front Cafe and Gallery, Lyneham Shops, Canberra on Friday 25 November from 7:30pm.

Our Triptych Poets will be performing on the night as well as a number of terrific local poets including the Traverse Poetry Slam god-father Julian Fleetwood.

Cash prizes and Blemish Books book packs will be up for grabs for those looking to get in on the slam action. Theme for the night is TRIPTYCH (of course). Entry is free.

Copies of the book will be available for $15, and as a special offer, any copies purchased on the night will come with a FREE copy of Issue One!

For more information about the launch email info[at]blemishbooks[dot]com[dot]au. For more information about Triptych Poets: Issue Two click here.

We hope to see you there!
