Details of the events Blemish Books will be taking part in are below:

Getting Published

Friday 30 September
11:00- 12:30

There is no one avenue for getting your work in print. That being said, our panel can show you a couple of well trodden paths as well as some tips and tricks from industry professionals.

Facilitator: Geoff Lemon
Artists:  Ronnie Scott & Voiceworks & Greg Gould (Blemish Books) & Steven Finch

Small Press: Status Update

Monday 3 October
12:00- 13:00

Printing options? Funding structure? Every small press is different and we want to know how. If you don't work for a small press, here's your chance to find out what the deal is. And if you do, NYWF is here to give you a cuddle and a big cup of milo.

Facilitator:  Voiceworks
Artists:  Greg Gould (Blemish Books) …and everyone else (including you!)

Blemish Books will also be taking part in the Sunday Fair/Zine Fair.  The fair will be held in the NCC King St Carpark (the  big concrete structure in the heart of Newcastle) and is a great space with lots of room to chat, trade ideas and just take in the atmosphere of passionate people who love what they do!

Triptych Poets: Issue Two Preview

September 19, 2011

Issue Two of our Triptych Poets series is just around the corner.  As per the Triptych vision, Issue Two is a beautiful collection of three suites of poems by three Australian poets that highlight the contrasting and often complementary nature of contemporary Australian poetry.

From the dialectic travels of Stuart Cooke to the fresh, cosmopolitan brashness of Brownen Manager to the confronting experimental poetic play of Ouyang Yu, Issue Two traverses a vast space of poetic styles and imagery, each as vivid as the next.

For a taste of the poetry on offer in Issue Two download some sample poems here.
